”Another Day of Life” in New Horizons’ program
It has conquered the hearts of film critics at Festival du Cannes, and now it is to conquer the hearts of viewers at the next, significant film event. “Another Day of Life’’ will be a part of the program of 18th International Film Festival New Horizons in Wroclaw in Poland.
Unusual hybrid of animation, action movie and documentary, visually striking piece of rare intimacy and power – after the world premiera at Festival du Cannes, the voices of delight is heard everywhere. The movie based on the Ryszard Kapuscinski’s book has impressed Marcin Pieńkowski, the art director of IFF New Horizons.
It’s fascinating, even daring, animation, which stays with a viewer for a long time after the screening. Since years I haven’t seen a movie with so plastic and so suggestive vision of a war. According to me it has a big chance for next year Oscar nomination.
One of the most awaited films has the Polish premiere at one of the most awaited festivals. The masterpiece by Damian Nenow and Raul de la Fuente finds in the program of this great summer film festival. It’s worth to reserve some time for then – 18th IFF New Horizons takes place 26th July – 5th August.
Besides the Polish premiere of “Another Day of Life’’ the organizers of New Horizons have prepared (as usual) the unique and genuine film feast. In the program there are retrospectives of such cinema geniuses as Nicolas Roeg, Ildikó Enyedi, João César Monteiro i Pedro Costa. Moreover, the viewers will see the project Bwergman100 and new, independent Iranian cinema.
