Mossies: Catching Art Animated Short Film

The holiday short film “Mossies: Catching Art ” from Platige Image is a true feast for fans of classic CGI animations and anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit.

The film’s action takes place on a planet inhabited by mysterious green creatures, Mossies. In the 90-second footage, we’ll see, among other things, a forest created using programs like Unreal Engine, Maya, and Nuke, where a Christmas tree shaped like the Platige Image logo grows. The scene of a star falling from the sky was almost entirely made in Unreal Engine with slight but significant assistance from Blender and Cinema 4D. Beyond using the latest animation technologies, the film references pop culture icons.

Polish and international fans have noticed and appreciated previous animations from the studio. Platige work in 2021, “Happy Easter,” was recognized by the Australian Effects & Animation Festival jury, receiving a silver award for short animations.
