Polish History Museum is one of the biggest educational initiatives in Poland. In 2011, we won an international contest to create a concept of a permanent exhibition that would explore 1000 years of Polish history. We undertook the challenge to establish a new type of museum storytelling, wherein animation and interactive technologies would combine to create an immersive experience of past events. The main theme of the exhibition is “freedom”, as the idea best describes the tumultuous history of Poland. The concept of the exhibition was created in collaboration with the WWAA design studio, and in its present shape, it will cover over 7000 square meters of museum floors. Construction of the exhibition will be completed by 2023.
