R&D Developer

Platige Image is looking for an R&D Developer with a passion for exploring new technologies and providing in-depth technical analysis. The person in this position will be developing R&D applications and tools in various areas like 3D, animation, rendering, virtual reality, process automation, and other out-of-the-box projects.  DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES IN A NUTSHELL

– Developing R&D applications and tools in various areas,

– Creating prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions for the CGI industry,

– Participating in the design of R&D apps’ architecture,

– Researching new technologies and providing in-depth technical analysis,

– Writing documentation,

– Working closely with artists regarding user feedback,

– Cooperating with Pipeline (Python Programmers) and IT teams,

– Supporting existing R&D tools and applications.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

– Good knowledge of Python (at least 1-year experience, senior developers are also welcome 😉 ),

– Solid understanding of Git,

– Knowledge of API for Autodesk Maya and Unreal Engine,

– Knowledge of design patterns and best practices,

– Cross-platform development,

– Experience with package managers and deployment tools,

– Good understanding of math and algebra at the university level,

– Problem decomposition skill,

– Fast-learner with team player spirit.

ADDITIONAL SCORED

– C++ programming experience,

– Interest in artist topics,

– Experience in testing.
