Layout/Previs Artist (artist)

We are currently looking for Artist to join our film and game cinematic team at our studio in Warsaw, Poland.

Platige Image is seeking experienced layout artists who are talented with cameras and who have experience with Maya Previs work. We are currently seeking an Artist for upcoming full feature project and game cinematics. You are responsible for the staging, blocking, and camera work that makes up the foundation of a successful shot and sequence of shots throughout a film; create the previzualization sequences and shots for the movie according to the director's guidelines, whilst reporting to the lead layout artist. Create a rough layout, including character animation blocking and camera movement, as well as creating or editing existing storyboard.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience desired in a relevant field or 3 years experience as in-game cinematic artist.
- Working knowledge of Maya and Motion Builder is a must. Other software knowledge is not nessesery.
- A working knowledge of the principles of staging, blocking and camera work.
- Basic working knowledge of the character animation.
- Must be comfortable working under tight deadlines and having a director looking over your shoulder.

PLUS
- Mocap based character animation experience.
- Artistic skills including a strong sense of composition and perspective, the ability to create atmosphere and good understanding of editing.
- Experience in storyboarding, design, 2D animation.
- Experience in non-commercial animation, short, indie game art.
- Film/Art School degree in a relevant field experience is desired but not a must.

FLUID FX ARTIST (artist)

Pipeline Lead (studio tools/r&d)

Platige  is looking to hire a Lead Pipeline contractor, who will be able to design and develop existing pipeline to the four departments within the company: Commercials, Animation, VFX, Entertainment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Helps with the design, execution and growth of a standardized Pipeline for Productions and Departments  
• Leads a team of Department's TDs, responsible for deploying, organizing, and supporting the existing Pipeline
• Works efficiently with other Pipeline Supervisors, senior Supervisors, and Technology Staff
• Ensure that the Pipeline meets the needs of the company
• Works well with Production and Technology Management to ensure suitable resource coverage to meet the demands of the current show
• Performs as an escalation point for Supervisors, Production Management, and  Artist Management to resolve conflicts.
• Make sure that the limited resources are effectively applied, and artists efficiently tasked by matching artist skill-set to assignments, identifying cross-utilization opportunities whenever possible
• Encourages a positive and productive work environment across the facility

EDUCATION: BS in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or equivalent Industry experience  

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of 10 years, with managing software, pipeline, and/or technology teams desired,  experience with Maya, Houdini and/or Nuke, including familiarity with APIs is a plus. In addition general experience with Python in a production environment is preferred.

SKILLS: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have great verbal and written communication skills

Senior Animator (artist)

We are currently looking for Senior Animator to join our film and game cinematic team at our studio in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsible for the character animation in cinematics team, both keyframed and motion capture. When needed, provide feedback to the junior animation team members to ensure their work is in line with the director’s vision.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in character animation using Maya or equivalent software,
- Solid knowledge of all animation techniques,
- Ability to take direction from multiple sources,
- Motion capture based and keyframed animation experience,
- Working knowledge of Maya is a must. Other software knowledge is not nessesery,
- A thorough understanding of all aspects of 3D animation pipeline including rigging, motion capture and previs work.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- Strong fine arts foundation skills, such as storyboarding, figure drawing or 2D animation,
- Ideal candidate has experience in a feature film or game cinematics production environment,
- Experience with face animation using Faceware or smilar software is welcome,
- Extensive knowledge of Motion Builder is a plus.

Hard Surface Modeller (artist)

At Platige, we combine film and advertising work with a strong passion for art, education, and entertainment. We are currently looking for Hard Surface Modellert to join our film and game cinematic team at our studio in Warsaw, Poland.

Your skills as artist allow you to be a combination of visionary designer, sculpter and engineer. As an artist, you’ll collaborate closely with the Art Directors and Lead Modeller to define the vision for non-organic modelling of props, vehicles and weapons.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in game development/VFX/cinematics pipeline as 3d artist.
- Strong hardsurface modelling skills is a must.
- Extensive knowledge of uv mapping.
- A working knowledge of Maya.
- Very strong polygonal subdivision modelling skills.

DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience in any art/concept/design role.
- Strong props and environment concept drawing skills.
- Texture painting is a plus, but not a must.
- A working knowledge of Zbrush and Mari.

Compositing Artist (artist)

Platige Image Cinematics Team is looking for both mid and senior compositing artist to work onsite in our Warsaw studio for project starting September and continuing until early December. Must be authorized to work in EU.

ROLE:
Responsible for image compositing in cinematics team, both full CG projects and VFX production. When needed provide artistic and technical feedback to Lighting Team, Mattepainters and Roto Artist. Raport directly to Compo Lead or CG Supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in feature film or commercial production environment.
- Solid knowledge of Nuke.
- Able to plan and execute complex 3d composition including working with 3d layers, passes and live footage.
- Strong artistic eye to develop final overall look.
- A thorough understanding of all aspects of 3D animation pipeline including rendering, grading, tracking and roto.
- Demo reel with breakdown should display an artistic understanding of light and composition.
- Able to relocate fast to our Warsaw studio, Poland.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- Strong fine arts foundation skills, such as painting, figure
drawing and photography.
- Ideal candidate has experience in a feature film or game cinematics production environment.
- Experience as on-set supervisor and experience in tracking is a plus.
- Experience in 3d as lighting artist or 3d generalist with strong Maya/Arnold skills is a plus.
