Environment Artist (artist)

We are looking for experienced 3d generalist who is talented with creating photo-real digital environments for high-end rendered shots. Candidates need to have a varied skill level across the areas of modeling, texturing, shading, design and look development. We are currently looking for an Artist for upcoming game cinematic projects at our Warsaw, Poland studio.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- a minimum of 5 years of experience in game development modeling and texturing or equal experience in visualization using Maya,
- strong knowledge of Maya and Photoshop,
- an exceptional understanding of form, shape, and structure in regard to modeling,
- eye for light, color, and detail in creating texture maps,
- experience with the creation of shaders and materials,
- candidate must have self-motivation and be a great team-player,
- candidate must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality results.

PLUS
- previous experience working in a VFX or cinematic pipeline,

Lead Character Modeler (artist)

We are currently looking for Artist to join our film and game cinematic team at our studio in Warsaw, Poland.

Your unique skills as lead artist allow you to be a combination of visionary character designer, modeller and leader. As an artist, you’ll collaborate closely with the Art Directors and Supervisors to define the vision for both the characters and organic modeling. As a leader you'll assist in planning asset production, support the development of the visual style and pipeline for characters and props. You support building team through regular critiques, feedback and mentoring. Communicating with other departments in order to ensure that the model meets relevant requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- minimum 5-year experience in game development/VFX/cinematics pipeline as character artist,
- strong character concept drawing skills is a must,
- extensive knowledge of Zbrush,
- a working knowledge of Maya,
- very strong polygonal subdivision modeling skills,
- may train, mentor or supervise the work of any level character modeller at the discretion of the Department Head.

PLUS
- lead experience in any art role,
- 10+ years CG experience,

FX Technical Director (artist)

We are currently looking for Artist to join our film and game cinematic team at our studio in Warsaw, Poland.

Provide support and development of tools to extend and enhance the fx pipeline. Use an array of software tools to produce photorealistic simulations of real-world phenomena. Work closely with other Technical Directors developing tools for the FX department as required by the guidelines defined by the CG Supervisors and FX Lead.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- at least 3 years production experience with effects simulation work,
- extensive knowledge of Maya or Houdini is a must,
- strong programming skills; scripting ability in Python or MEL preferred. C++ skills also applicable,
- proven experience in producing effects such as smoke, fire, clouds, water and explosions,
- experience with tool integration into existing or new pipelines.

PLUS
- familiar with one or more of the following applications: Realflow, Krakatoa, Fume, Thinking Particles,

Lead Animator (artist)

Lead animator will be responsible for the quality of animation in cinematics team. Operational management of the studio animators and freelancers with constructive feedback both technically and artistically. Provide animation direction to the animators to ensure their work is in line with the director’s vision. As a leader you'll assist in planning shot production, building team through regular feedback. Love for mentoring, critiqe and learning is desirable.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- minimum of 7 years’ experience in character animation using Maya or equivalent software,
- experience leading a team of animators,
- solid knowledge of all animation techniques,

Shading Artist (artist)

Shading artist paints textures from scratch and by utilizing photography and pre-existing textures. Creates multiple texture map layers, shaders and materials to create the desired look for characters and props that may reflect any of a wide variety of styles. Work closely with other Shading Artists developing style and look by the guidelines defined by the CG Supervisors and Shading Lead.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- a minimum 5 year experience in character surfacing, texure painting or look development,
- extensive knowledge of Maya is a must,
- strong shading skills, extensive experience with Arnold, but Renderman, Vray or other rendering software also applicable,
- a working knowledge of Photoshop and Mari,
- clear understanding of UV’s,
- a good eye for color and detail as it relates to organic models.

Motion Capture TD (artist)

You will be responsible for cleaning up and retargetting motion capture data from our Vicon capture system. Assistting in creating tools and scripts to improve motion capture workflow. Supportting props building, performers brifing and planning. Working with animators, directors, actors and other TD's to play a great role in cinematic team.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- minimum 3 years experience working in a motion capture studio or equivalent environment,
- minimum 5 years working experience in a previz, game development or feature animation in any character animation related role,
- extensive knowledge of Motion Builder is a must,
- working knowladge of Vicon Blade,

Platige Image is seeking an experienced layout artists who are talented with cameras and who have experience with Maya Previs work. You will be responsible for the staging, blocking, and camera work that makes up the foundation of a successful shot and sequence of shots throughout a film; creating the previzualization sequences and shots for the movie according to the director's guidelines, whilst reporting to the lead layout artist. Creating a rough layout, including character animation blocking and camera movement, as well as creating or editing existing storyboard.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- minimum 3 years experience desired in a relevant field or 3 years experience as in-game cinematic artist,
- working knowledge of Maya and Motion Builder is a must,
- other software knowledge is not nessesery,
- a working knowledge of the principles of staging, blocking and camera work,
- basic working knowledge of the character animation,
- must be comfortable working under tight deadlines and having a director looking over your shoulder.

PLUS
- mocap based character animation experience,
