Lead FX Artist (artist)

Role: 
You will work closely with Art Directors and CG Supervisors to determine best approach to effects challenges and develop final look using commercial and property software. Use an array of software tools to produce photorealistic simulations of real-world phenomena. Be able to light, render and precompose your work.

ROLE: The person will be responsible for creation of proxy 3d assets, staging, blocking and camera work. The assignments of the candidate will be to create the previsualization sequences and shots for the movie according to the director's guidelines, whilst reporting to the lead layout artist.

Senior Compositing Artist (artist)

We are currently looking for Senior Compositing Artist for our core team of 3D Artists.  

Role: Platige team is seeking for Senior Compositing Artist with broad background, creating high quality shots across a variety of projects. As a Senior Compositor you will be responsible for taking disparate elements (film plate, stock footage and elements, CG renderings) and combining them to create a final image delivery for both full CG and live action projects. Successful applicants should have a well-developed artistic eye, good working knowledge of color, design, photography and film lighting as well as a solid technical knowledge. You will be involved in creation of AAA game cinematics and other high-end 3D and VFX projects at our studio.  

Work place: Warsaw/Poland  

Responsibilities:
- Performing all the tasks associated with the compositing process, including 2D and 3D tracking, rotoscoping, painting, matte extraction, layering of elements, CG integration and color grading.
- In-depth cooperation with Lighting, Matte painting and FX teams.
- Together with Lead Compositor and Visual Effects Supervisor evaluate the creative and technical approach for assigned shots.
- Realizing the artistic vision of client, director and art director.
- Independent work with self-supervision and criticism to evaluate the shot to the final stage.
- Creating shots sequence and maintain overall consistency and quality.
- Sharing techniques and mentor junior level talents.  

Required skills: 
- 5 years relevant experience in a feature film, animation or commercial production environment, preferably including  motion design experience.
- Expert level knowledge of 3D compositing softwares, preferably including Nuke.
- Gizmo creation for current production needs.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under the pressure with strong ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter and  team-player attitude.  

Plus:  
- Deep understanding of all aspects of 3D and VFX pipeline steps.
- Portfolio of traditional arts (painting, drawing, photography, filmmaking) matchmoving and camera layout skills.
- Scripting or programming skills (i.e. Python or MEL).
